About VoVo

"VoVo" is a NGO founded in Zagreb, Croatia. The founding members all share common experience in the youth field as well as participated on projects within the Youth in Action program. That is why the organization was founded, to promote European values and participation of youth in all aspects of life. Furthermore, we present Erasmus+ program and the opportunities it offers to young people.

Our main missions:                                

1.Enhance social, leadership, entrepreneurial, communication skills, self-esteem, as well as multilingualism of youth through non-formal education;

2.Raise awareness about EU citizenship among young people, educate about social responsibility and work towards reducing youth unemployment in the EU;

3.Organize youth seminars, conferences and discussions on relevant social topics, promote healthy and active lifestyle in order to increase the well-being of youth. Inform about similar actions organized by others.

About Erasmus+

  • The start of the program: 2014-2020;
  • Anyone aged from 16 to 30 is eligible to participate.

Mia Mardešić

Executive director of the association

Social worker with direct professional contact with project target groups and relevant national institutional framework concerning these issues. Furthermore she has the necessary methodological and theorical knowledge and competences necessary for research, development, collection and evaluation of statistical and other information relevant to the projects.

As the director of VoVo, she has experience from writing, organizing, managing and facilitating youth projects within Erasmus+, European Social Fund based on various themes, some of them are social inclusion, social entrepreneurship, social networking. Through these projects she acquired skills in non-formal approach to these topics as well as experience with youth work.

Ivor Mardešić

President of the association

Geography student with experience in statistical and graphical methods of analysis of social groups such as youth and more specifically socio-economic groups, unemployed population cohorts including youth. These competences extend to complex cartographic representations which can serve as powerful visual tools in disseminating and increasing the impact of projects. On the other hand, as the president of VoVo Ivor has participated in every day work and shared his 8 years of experience in youth work and participating, organizing and managing Youth in Action and later Erasmus+ projects. This is extended to writing, finding partners, extending network and cooperating with already established organizations.

Luka Mardešić

General Secretary

Jurist and General Secretary of VoVo with profound organizational and bureaucratic competences, his Law education provides us with reliable and up to date information and skills within legal frameworks as well as financial transparency and security. Luka has taken part in more than 20 projects and he is an integral part of the VoVo team by providing the infrastructure which allows the others to efficiently operate and create new projects. He is relevant because of his experience in said legal framework, bookkeeping, accounting, time management and coordination of projects within the Erasmus+ framework. He is also the web administrator and designer of the VoVo website and he is employing his skills to increase the impact and quality of the projects and partner network.

What are the costs?

The European Union may cover up to 100% of your project / exchange costs through the Erasmus+ program. Please have a look at the info graphics below:

EU youth exchange

Accommodation, living and other project / exchange related expenses: 100% funded by the EU. This includes everything except for travel costs.

 

plane1Travel (flights, other means of transport) expenses are compensated (up to 100%), based on the distance from your location of residence to the location of the project. These distances must be calculated using the distance calculator supported by the European Commission. Basically, the EU has set maximum amounts of contribution to the personal travel costs, which vary per distance to be traveled. For specifics, please take a look at the table below:
